DryCross order planning illustration: Name the style, Split colors & logos, Confirm the minimum, Lock the order brief
Original DryCross buyer-guide illustration. It explains a review process rather than a product test or completed customer case.

The practical answer

At DryCross, light logo customization typically starts from 50 pieces and full customization from 100 pieces. The final minimum needs project review. Request a quantity breakdown by model, color, artwork and packing so the supplier can confirm which variations can be produced together.

Make a quantity sheet before asking for a price

List every proposed sellable variant in a small worksheet: model, capacity, bag color, artwork version, packing format and requested units. Give each row a reference code. This lets the supplier identify what changes between rows rather than guessing from a total quantity. A clear assortment sheet also helps your sales team understand which options are actually being quoted.

Treat your preferred split as a proposal. An order total can meet a headline minimum while an individual color, component or packing item remains below its own production requirement. Ask the supplier to mark approved and unresolved rows, then review the assortment before announcing a launch.

Distinguish available stock from custom production

A stock model is useful when the product is already suitable and immediate availability is the main question. Adding a logo creates a different brief; changing dimensions or construction creates a wider development scope. Include all requested changes in the first inquiry so the route can be reviewed as a whole.

DryCross’s published starting guidelines are one piece for stock, typically 50 pieces for light customization and typically 100 pieces for full customization. These do not establish availability, a color split or acceptance of every design. Identify the selected model and requested changes before treating a guideline as an order commitment.

Check how variants affect the minimum

Imagine a first launch of 120 bags split across three colors. The arithmetic gives 40 per color, but it does not prove that the fabric, printing and packing can be prepared in that split. Ask whether an existing color would reduce a separate material requirement, and whether two artwork versions need separate setup. This is a planning illustration, not a confirmed DryCross offer.

If the proposed assortment is too broad, reduce the number of changes first. One approved model and one artwork version may make the project easier to compare. Keep a record of options deferred to a later order, so simplifying the launch does not accidentally remove an essential customer requirement.

Turn a total quantity into an approved assortment
Use this worksheet structure alongside the written requirements below. Approvals and commercial terms are project-specific.

Calculate the cash commitment beyond unit price

Separate sample work, artwork preparation, tooling if applicable, unit price, individual packing and shipping terms. Ask which amounts are charged once, which recur and which remain estimates. Do not assume that a sample fee will be credited or that a second sample round is included; request the terms explicitly.

Build your own launch budget from confirmed line items. Include the goods reserved for photography, sales samples or any agreed replacement arrangement. If two quotes use different packing or delivery bases, compare the difference before deciding that one supplier is cheaper.

Tie quantity approval to the schedule

A delivery plan should show its dependencies: specification review, artwork approval, sample approval, materials, production and transit. Ask what starts the quoted production period and whether a requested change resets a milestone. A production estimate alone does not establish the date goods arrive at your destination.

For an event-driven order, send the destination and required arrival date at the beginning. Discuss whether a narrower assortment or an existing model is feasible. Record the confirmed plan rather than adding competitor timelines or assuming that small quantity automatically means fast delivery.

Finish with an approved first-order brief

Use the comparison below to close unresolved details. Keep the approved assortment, sample reference, artwork version and packing instructions together. Ask the supplier to confirm the order-specific quantity, commercial terms and expected milestones in the same quotation.

For the next order, revisit availability and any changed colors or packaging. A previous minimum is useful context, but a revised specification deserves another review. DryCross can assess your proposed stock, branded-model or full-development brief before a final quotation is issued.

Your sourcing checklist

  • Style or reference image
  • Quantity by color and size
  • Logo artwork and placement
  • Individual and carton packing
  • Destination and required date

Keep these details with the selected model and quantity so the supplier can review the actual scope.

Buyer questions

Do 100 bags always qualify for full customization?

No. The typical starting guideline still requires review of materials, components, design and production requirements.

Can several bag sizes be combined under one minimum?

Send the quantity by size and model. Ask which minimum applies to each row; do not infer approval from the order total.

How can I simplify a first order?

Review fewer colors, one artwork version and an available model, while retaining the features your customers need. The supplier must confirm the resulting brief.

Does the minimum include samples?

Ask for sample quantities and charges to be identified separately from bulk production.
