Decide how the customer will carry the contents

A 30L roll-top bag and a 30L backpack can solve different carrying tasks even when their capacity labels match. Explain whether customers move the bag over a short distance, carry it repeatedly or want a dedicated shoulder-strap system. Compare the reference designs accordingly. The existing mesh-pocket and printed dry bags are separate product families from the color-block, coated and textured backpack collections.

Review the larger closed sample

Pack representative contents into the selected 30L sample, then complete the specified closure. Check access, remaining roll-top height and how the bag sits with that contents arrangement. A nominal volume should not be converted into a guaranteed weight limit. Identify a target load and an agreed evaluation method if carrying performance matters. Record the sample dimensions using a consistent measurement procedure.

Assess pockets and hardware under the intended use

A larger bag may need a different arrangement of pockets, straps or attachment points from the small size in the same range. Review buckles, strap adjustment and the areas where the carrying parts join the bag. Explain which items would go in an external pocket and what protection they require. Do not treat an external zipper, mesh compartment or shoulder strap as evidence of a finished-bag performance rating.

Build a size-specific branding specification

Check the logo scale on the actual 30L bag rather than enlarging artwork from a small sample without review. Describe how it should appear when the opening is closed and the bag is carried. If the design spans a panel, request the placement reference and allowed variation. Include retail labels and cartons in the approval set so the larger size is identified correctly in mixed-size orders.

Confirm carton planning and reorder details

List 30L quantities separately from other capacities and identify each style, color and print revision. Ask for the proposed packing quantity and shipment measurements in the quotation; existing unit-package figures are not a complete freight estimate. Retain the approved construction and materials for reorders. Any substitution affecting the pocket, closure or carrying parts should be reviewed before a new production run is accepted.
