01 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Describe the fabric instead of a general material label
State whether you have a nominated coated fabric or need a proposed material. Provide the base textile, coating arrangement, thickness or weight reference, color and surface appearance when known. If a supplier reference is mandatory, identify it clearly and request feasibility review. A TPU request should not automatically be mapped to a catalog photograph: the chosen model material must be confirmed independently of its appearance.
Review the supporting information
Factory photographs show the DryCross workshop. Use the sample approval checklist to record requirements for your exact order.
02 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Compare performance requirements at sample level
Identify the bending, handling, appearance and protection requirements relevant to the intended customer use. Compare equivalent finished samples instead of assigning universal properties to every TPU construction. Fabric grade and design can affect the result. If the bag will encounter a specific exposure or use condition, agree how that will be evaluated. Avoid a broad premium or sustainable claim unless the supporting evidence matches the proposed product.
03 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Review the closure and components early
A coated fabric selection can affect how a seam is joined and how a window, zipper or other component is integrated. Ask the team to review the actual material pairings and seam arrangement. Discuss sewn straps separately from any welded storage compartment. Confirm component availability and the approval procedure for substitutions. A bag can contain several materials, so the whole product should not be described as one polymer without checking the specification.
04 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Build an evidence request around the intended market
Send the destination country, sales channel and proposed claims with the development brief. Request the relevant material documents and finished-bag evidence as separate items. Check the sample identity, test scope and conditions before using a report in product copy. The TPU name alone does not substantiate biodegradability, recycled content or an immersion rating. Any such requirement needs specific sourcing and evidence review before it appears in a quotation.
05 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Control the development revision for production
Record the accepted material reference, dimensions, finish, artwork and components together in the approved specification. Ask which sample work and procurement steps precede production scheduling. Provide quantities by color and the packaging requirements so the quotation covers the whole order. For a reorder, refer to the previous approval and review proposed material changes; an identical product photograph is not proof of an unchanged fabric specification.
Compare the purchasing scope
| Option | Purchasing focus | Prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Nominated fabric | You already have a material reference | Reference and required construction |
| Proposed TPU option | You need a sourcing review | Target behavior, finish and quantity |
| Material comparison | You are choosing between options | Equivalent sample specification |
