Make onboard storage and handling the basis of the purchase. Discuss the hardware and customer instructions alongside the bag material and nominal volume.

Model, materials, sample terms and scheduling are confirmed in the quotation.

01 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW

List the storage task and available space

Describe what the bag carries, where it is stored and whether customers need access while underway or only at a destination. Equipment with sharp corners, rigid shapes or special protection requirements should be identified in the brief. Compare a closed sample with the actual storage space. The existing roll-top assortment can provide a starting point, while backpack models offer a different carrying arrangement for shore transfers.

Review the supporting information

Factory photographs show the DryCross workshop. Use the sample approval checklist to record requirements for your exact order.

02 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW

Treat hardware exposure as a separate question

A marine collection may place different demands on buckles, straps, zippers and other components than a general travel range. Explain the expected exposure and ask which component materials are proposed. Do not apply a corrosion, salt-spray or UV rating to the whole bag from its category name. If such performance is required, agree the relevant evaluation scope and request evidence for the actual selected components and construction.

03 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW

Check handling with the bag closed

Evaluate opening, closing, carrying and storage on the sample using representative contents. Review the position of straps and external pockets so customers can operate the bag as intended. Any securement arrangement needs to be assessed as a complete setup. A storage bag should not be advertised as a mooring component, rescue device or guaranteed floating container merely because it can be carried on a boat.

04 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW

Prepare instructions that match the evidence

State the correct closure procedure and supported use conditions in the product information. Ask for the care guidance relevant to the approved material and hardware rather than inventing a universal cleaning method. Printed water-protection claims should match finished-bag evidence, including closure and test conditions. Keep instructions, labels and the model identity together in the approval record so the retail package describes the bag actually supplied.

05 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW

Build a commercial specification for repeat orders

Include quantity by model and color, identification marks, artwork, packing and shipment destination. Ask for stock availability or custom development terms, depending on the chosen route. If the order is a seasonal collection, provide the required arrival date and review sample and freight milestones with the team. Retain component references for reorders and request review of any change affecting closure, carrying or the intended exposure.
