01 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Understand what the process description establishes
Radio-frequency welding is a joining method for suitable thermoplastics. Its relevance to a bag project depends on the material and the joint to be made. A process description can guide a feasibility discussion, but it does not establish the performance of a closure or every seam in a product. The workshop photographs show production activity and equipment; request order-specific confirmation of the joining methods proposed for your selected construction.
Review the supporting information
Factory photographs show the DryCross workshop. Use the sample approval checklist to record requirements for your exact order.
02 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Check the actual layers for compatibility
Provide the coated-fabric reference, layer arrangement and any transparent window or component that must be joined. TWI identifies PVC and polyurethane as common RF-welded thermoplastics, while also explaining that material suitability matters. Do not extend that general statement to every laminated fabric or accessory. Ask which material pairings will be evaluated on a sample and whether a design revision is needed before committing to the material choice.
03 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Review seam geometry and access before tooling
A drawing should show seam locations, panel overlaps, openings and the areas that need access during assembly. Describe the final shape rather than only the flat panel dimensions. Ask how the proposed joint is made around corners and components and which parts are sewn or assembled by another method. Tooling scope, cost and production feasibility should be reviewed with the actual design rather than copied from another model.
04 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Approve a representative finished sample
Inspect the seams, closure and the transitions around windows, straps or other features on the same sample. Agree the relevant visual and performance checks, including how the bag is closed and the test conditions. A good-looking seam is not a complete water-protection test. Record the approved construction and any revisions together so a production bag can be compared with the sample you actually evaluated.
05 / PROCUREMENT REVIEW
Link process control to the order specification
Provide quantity by model and color, nominated materials, components and any inspection requirement in the quotation brief. Ask which changes require approval and how the selected material reference will be retained for reorders. A technical welding explanation should not become a blanket certificate claim. If a particular product rating is part of your sales plan, request the relevant finished-bag evidence and check its scope before printing that rating.
Compare the purchasing scope
| Option | Purchasing focus | Prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Material review | Evaluate the proposed coated-fabric layers | Material references and pairings |
| Seam review | Evaluate joint layout and assembly | Drawing, openings and components |
| Performance review | Support a finished-bag claim | Exact sample and agreed test conditions |
